      <image:title>PSMA PET-CT - PSMA PET-CT scan</image:title>
<image:caption>We perform F-18 PSMA PET-CT scans for the investigation of prostate cancer in patients with high risk disease considering radical treatment (e.g. prostatectomy) or in patients who have a rising PSA following radical treatment to identify sites of residual disease. Prostate Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA) PET-CT is a specific tracer designed for prostate imaging. Ga-68 PSMA and F-18 PSMA have revolutionised prostate cancer imaging and is much more sensitive than traditional imaging techniques such as bone scan or body CT. We previously performed F-18 Choline PET-CT in these patients but have found F-18 PSMA to be more sensitive. The Royal United Hospital Bath was one of the first sites to offer these PSMA scans and are still one of few sites currently able to offer this service to patients all around the UK. Dr Richard Graham holds the ARSAC licence for F-18 PSMA PET-CT but all three of our Radionuclide Radiologists report these scans. If you are looking to refer a patient for a private or self-pay PSMA PET-CT scan please download the referral form here. If you would like more information about PSMA PET-CT, please contact us.</image:caption>
